1. Introduction and Scope
At PDF Pure ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to upholding strict data privacy and transparency standards for visitors to our utility portal (https://pdfpure.com). This Privacy Policy explains our data collection, processing, and disclosure practices across our free client-side tool workspaces, including our Online PDF Editor, Loan & Mortgage Calculator, and Image Compressor.
By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge the terms outlined herein. If you have questions regarding our privacy practices, please submit an inquiry via our Contact Us page.
2. Zero Server Document Storage Policy
Unlike traditional document converter services, PDF Pure is engineered from the ground up as a 100% client-side web application:
- PDF Processing: When you open and edit a PDF file in our Online PDF Editor, the file is read into your browser's local memory using HTML5 File API and WebAssembly. No copy of your document is ever uploaded to our web servers, databases, or cloud storage buckets.
- Image Compression: Image scaling and format conversions run via the HTML5 2D Canvas API on your local device. The compression calculations occur locally, and output files are saved directly into your device's storage.
- Financial Calculations: All loan balances, interest calculations, and amortization schedules are computed via JavaScript in your local browser runtime.
4. Contact Information and Feedback Collection
The only instance in which user data is transmitted to an external storage database is when you voluntarily submit a message through our Contact Us form. In that event, the following data is transmitted via Google Firebase Firestore:
- Your name and contact email address
- Your subject category and message feedback text
- Submission timestamp
This information is used strictly to respond to user support inquiries, address bug reports, and improve tool usability. We do not sell, rent, or trade your contact information to third-party marketing entities.
5. GDPR and CCPA Data Subject Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or a California resident under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you retain statutory rights regarding personal information:
- The right to access, rectify, or erase any personal feedback submissions
- The right to restrict or object to automated data processing
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising statutory privacy rights
6. Policy Updates & Amendments
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy as our web utility platform introduces new client-side capabilities or to reflect updates in regulatory requirements. Amendments become effective immediately upon posting to this URL.
